German SUV Gets big discounts!

We are talking about the Tiguan R-Line, Volkswagen’s 5-seater flagship SUV. The Fortuner’s strong grip in this segment has forced the German manufacturer’s hand to boost sales. Volkswagen is offering a discount of up to Rs 4.5 Lakh, comprising a Rs 3.5 lakh cash discount, a Rs 50,000 exchange discount, and a Rs 50,000 loyalty bonus. Before the discounts, the Tiguan R-Line costs Rs 58.51 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). An important thing to note about the Tiguan R-Line is that it is a CBU import model, which explains its high price tag. These discounts apply to model year 2025 units, and offers may vary by dealership and other factors, such as vehicle stock.

Features and Specifications

The cabin is plush and packed with features. Some notable features the Tiguan offers include a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, a HUD, powered front seats with a massage function, an 8-speaker audio system, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, etc. This is a much more impressive list than its rival, the Toyota Fortuner.

While the Fortuner offers petrol and diesel powertrain options, the Tiguan R-Line comes with a single powertrain as standard. Its 2.0-litre TSI engine (202bhp & 320Nm) is a refined unit, and thanks to the 7-speed DSG, it is plenty fun to drive as well. Moreover, you get it with an AWD drivetrain as standard. Overall, the Tiguan R-Line offers a great package. And with these discounts, choosing between the Fortuner and the Tiguan becomes more difficult.
