Sierra Survives Fall From Cliff!

In a bizarre turn of events, a simple test drive went horribly wrong. This event was recorded at Panchpakadi Thane, where a potential customer took the Sierra for a test drive with two showroom employees. And upon this test drive, things went out of control as the driver rammed into a rickshaw and 2 two-wheelers before crashing past a construction barricade. What lay after the barricade was an excavation pit, almost 30-40 feet deep. 

All 3 passengers sustained injuries; 2 suffered minor injuries, while 1 was admitted to the nearest hospital. The local authorities and residents came to the rescue and helped the passengers out of the car.

Tata Sierra Crash – How Safe Ss The Sierra? 

Things could have gone much worse, as the accident looked nasty. Reports suggest that the airbags deployed on time and caused limited injuries. While we are not sure what caused this bizarre accident, it could have been a driver error or a car flaw. But one thing we know for sure is that the Sierra is as safe as it gets. The car was lifted off the site, and the Sierra held up pretty well on its own. 

While the Sierra has yet to undergo NCAP tests, Tata has conducted multiple crash tests to instil confidence in Sierra owners. And after looking at the footage of this accident, what more proof could you want about its safety?
