Pricing
Punch Facelift has been launched at the starting price of Rs 6.62 lakh and Rs 12.23 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Exter is priced between Rs 6.79 lakhs and Rs 11.27 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai) for the top trim. Both SUVs are priced the same, making it harder to choose one! So, let’s now look at which is more feature-rich and powerful.
Powertrain:

Tata has introduced the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 118hp and 170nm with the Punch Facelift, offered only with the 6-speed manual. Along with this, the previous 1.2-litre NA (88hp,115Nm) and the same engine with CNG (72hp,103Nm) will still be offered. The five-speed manual and AMT gearbox remain unchanged. Yes, Tata now offers an AMT option with the CNG variants as well.

On the contrary, Hyundai also offers the 1.2-litre NA engine with petrol (82hp,113Nm) and petrol+CNG (68hp,95Nm) options. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual and an AMT. Here, CNG is only being offered with the manual option.
Exter and Punch use the same twin-cylinder CNG technology, offering practicality and efficiency. With the introduction of the AMT CNG variants, Punch extends the practicality and efficiency even further.
Features:

With the facelift, Punch offers more. It features a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless connected-car tech, a 7-inch digital cluster, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags as standard. In addition, following the previous Punch, the facelift has secured a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP.

Exter features an 8-inch infotainment screen, a 4.2-inch MID, voice-controlled electric sunroof, 360-degree parking camera, and cruise control. Hyundai misses official safety ratings, but with the safety features offered, it expects at least 4 stars once it is tested.
