The recent spy shots give us a glimpse of the interiors of the upcoming facelift of Hyundai’s 5-star safety-rated, feature-rich sedan. Yes, the Verna facelift is on its way. Here is everything it can offer, based on our spy shots. The recent spyshots reveal that the major changes lie inside the cabin. The dashboard layout appears identical to the one we saw in the Venue Facelift, featuring a dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch driver’s display and an infotainment screen. The ‘H’ of the Hyundai logo is missing on the steering wheel, replaced by the Morse code of the letter H. In addition, there is the sporty red-and-black interior theme.

The current-generation Verna is the safest Hyundai, with a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, and will retain the same rating with the facelift. From earlier spy shots, we can see that the Verna is getting some design changes. The connect DRL strip from the current gen can be carried forward, but the headlamp layout could be changed to a vertically stacked arrangement. The front and rear bumpers might receive revisions, giving them a diffuser-like look.
Powertrain:
Hyundai is expected to retain the powertrain from the current-generation Verna. Featuring the 1.5-litre NA petrol (113bhp, 143.8Nm) and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (158bhp, 253Nm) engines. Paired with the 6-speed manual, Automatic CVT and a 7-speed DCT gearbox options.
Pricing & Launch:
The current-generation Hyundai Verna is priced between Rs 13.15 lakh and Rs 17.13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). We can expect a bit of a price hike with the facelift, carrying a pricetag of Rs 14 lakh to Rs 18 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With test mules being frequently spotted, we can expect the updated Verna by mid-2026.
Would you choose this over the VW Virtus or Skoda Slavia?
