Nissan Gravite Unveiled!

As part of Nissan’s resurgence plans, the brand has taken the wraps off its new sub-compact 7-seater MPV, the Gravite. The MPV will be officially launched in January 2026, while sales will begin in March. Although it borrows the body shape from the Renault Triber, the 7-seater has a bolder design, helping it stand out. The bonnet gets prominent lines, signifying its muscular design. The front grille has a very unique design pattern, helping it stand out. Chrome elements on the front and rear of the car help the MPV look quite unique. The taillights also feature a slightly different design from the Triber, setting it apart from its counterpart. That said, from the glimpses we got, the Gravite does look quite good.

Powertrain

The Nissan Gravite will likely borrow the engine from the Renault Triber. We expect the MPV to get a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, along with either a 5-speed MT or an AMT. Nissan could also offer a dealer-fitted CNG option for mileage-conscious buyers.

Future Plans – Nissan Gravite Launch

Nissan has come up with plans to bring in 3 new models, the Tekton, the Gravite and a 7-seater C-SUV. The brand plans to improve its service network as well as increase the number of showrooms to up to 250, up from the current 155 outlets. As part of Nissan’s resurgence plans, the Tekton will make its first appearance in February 2026. As we know, the new Gravite is essentially based on the Triber, while the Tekton shares most of its components with the Renault Duster. Similarly, the upcoming Duster 7-seater, also called the Boreal, will likely lend most of the components to the upcoming Nissan 7-seater C-SUV, which will be launched in 2027.
