Yes – we are talking about the Altroz Racer, launched in 2024. One of the most-awaited cars was unfortunately discontinued soon after the launch of the Altroz facelift. So to sell the remaining stock of the model, the brand is offering benefits of up to Rs 1.35 lakh! The benefits include Rs 85,000 in cash discount & Rs 50,000 in exchange or scrappage benefits. Having said that, its last recorded price was between Rs 11.01 lakh & Rs 12.94 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Should You Buy?

Although it is an old car, the Altroz Racer has its own positives! And what better positive than the engine! No, it does not have a higher capacity engine with 200bhp! It was instead offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (118bhp & 170Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine is capable of taking the Altroz from 0 to 100kmph under 11 seconds! Sounds slow? Well, that powertrain, combined with the Altroz Racer’s excellent driving dynamics, makes it a great enthusiast car. In fact, on a race track, the Altroz Racer can be much quicker than all the other cars in its segment.

Also, it comes with some stylish design aesthetics. With its unique Orange shade, blacked-out bonnet & roof, and white strips, the Altroz Racer was, or is, an attention seeker. Even though it is a pre-facelift model, it offered features like 10.25-inch touchscreen system, sporty exhaust, a sunroof, and ventilated seats (even the facelift does not have this!). So, if you truly want a stylish car with punchy performance, the Altroz Racer deserves your attention.
