First of all, many might think that PPF would be something new. But no, PPF has been here for a long time; earlier, many car owners used to do this to protect the car, but somehow now bikers have also started doing it. For starters, PPF is basically a wrap over the exterior metal to protect it from scratches, rock chips and UV fading and more. Yes, it’s good for protection, but it does have some cons.

Now, if you plan to get a PPF on your motorcycle, walk into some shops and ask about the final cost. The cost will differ according to the thickness of the films used to wrap. After visiting some shops, visit some shops where you can ask for the cost of replacing the tank itself, and later visit some paint shops. Sometimes it can happen that the cost of PPF might be similar to the tank upgrade. In some cases, the cost of PPF can be around Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,000, while the cost of a new tank can be around Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000, and the colouring will even be lower cost than PPF. In such instances, the PPF might not sound like a good option.

Moreover, if you are considering getting a PPF for your motorcycle, then you must check the warranty period. Many dealers offer a warranty of 2 to 5 years, choose the maximum possible time frame, as if the quality of PPF fades under the warranty timeline you can get a new film protection under warranty without spending anything extra.

Yes, there are goods as well and bads as well. Many buyers hesitate to spend too much on motorcycles in the buying phase, as they have already spent a fortune on their two-wheeled beast. At the same time, some others can be okay for spending a particular amount.

With that, there’s no particular judgment that you must or must not do the PPF. PPF is mainly done by car buyers who want to preserve the shine for a long time.
