Mahindra XUV700 Facelift – Should You Wait?

The Indian automaker is slated to launch its new electric SUV, on 27th November. On the contrary, the brand has not shared any confirmed details about its facelifted XUV700 model. Industry sources also suggest that its production might begin by the end of this year. With that its shouldn’t take too long! So, should you wait for the XUV700 facelift? Let’s discuss the expected changes.

Better Than Before?

First of all, Mahindra might introduce a new nomenclature with the facelifted model, just like the XUV300 became XUV3XO, the XUV 700 might be called XUV7XO. These hints come from a patent filed by the brand. 

Apart from that, the XUV700 might see some changes on the design front. Mahindra might revise the headlamps and taillamps, also a redesigned grille along with bumper would be on offer. Alongside, the alloys too are expected to be different. The side profile is expected to be similar. The rear-end of the model is likely to get connected treatment & redesigned rear bumpers.

Interiors might be completely revamped – even some spyshots have revealed the model with triple screen setup. We expect Mahindra to design the cabin of the model getting inspired from its BEVs. So, we can expect a pile of new features making its way on the XUV700 facelift. Some of the expected features include – triple screen setup, ADAS level 2+, powered tailgate, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo, an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated rear seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and more in its package. 

Under the hood, expect the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (197bhp & 380Nm) & 2.2-litre diesel engine (182bhp & 450Nm) to do the duty. Transmission options include a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT gearbox. 

Expected Launch & Price

At present, there’s no official confirmation about the launch of XUV700 facelift. However, we expect it to be launched in the first half of 2026. Regarding prices, well, the current model is priced between Rs 16.50 lakh & Rs 30.65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, with a facelift, the prices are expected to see a hike anywhere between Rs 30,000 & Rs 1 lakh.
