Only Automatic CNG SUV Under Rs 10 Lakh

Nissan Magnite CNG:

In May 2025, Nissan introduced a retrofitted CNG option for the Magnite. This CNG option was limited to the manual transmissions only. Magnite CNG is not a new product in the market, but the CNG with Automatic Magnite is. Considering the convenience of the automatic and the efficiency of CNG, Nissan is looking to offer a combination.

Powering the Magnite CNG is the 1L 3-cylinder engine, the same as the petrol. This powertrain produces 72hp and 96nm of Torque. Earlier, CNG was offered in only a 5-speed manual transmission. But with the recent announcement, Nissan will also provide the Magnite CNG with a 5-speed automatic option. Apart from the powertrain, there are no other changes to the Magnite CNG, except for relocating the CNG filler valve from the engine bay to the fuel lid.

Features

Inside the cabin, Magnite remains the same, offering an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity and a 7-inch driver’s display. For the additional driver, features such as cruise control and a 360-degree parking camera are also included in the top trims. The compact SUV also offers a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating across all its variants. It comes with a 3-year or one lakh-kilometre warranty with its compact CNG SUV.

Pricing:

Nissan Magnite CNG prices start at Rs. 7.76 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and go up to Rs. 10.93 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The retrofitted CNG will cost you about 71,999 over the AMT variants. Its rivals include the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Hyundai Exter. But among the competitors, no one offers a powertrain combination with CNG-Automatic.
