Tata has been busy in the market recently with the launches of the Punch facelift, Sierra and petrol variants of the Harrier & Safari. And the launches don’t stop there as the automaker has unveiled a facelift for another of its popular SUV and here is what you should know about it.

Tata Punch.ev Facelift Launched


Tata has officially launched the facelift for the Punch.ev. It has been launched at prices between Rs 9.69 lakh and Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. You can choose from these colour options: fearless yellow, Bengal Rouge, Caramel, Pure Grey, pristine white, Empowered Oxide and Supernova Copper. Bookings for the facelift have also commenced.
What’s more interesting is that Tata is offering the Punch.ev with a BaasS (Battery-as-a-Service) scheme. With BaaS, the Punch.ev is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), and you would have to pay a battery charge of Rs 2.6/km.
In recent advertorials, Tata has not refrained from revealing the facelift to the world and even boasting about its higher driving range. We now have a complete look at the Punch. EV, and here is what’s special about it.

Looks


Tata has not changed the recipe much with the facelift, and the overall design language remains the same as the older model. However, it does receive a few important aesthetic updates, including a revised front end, 3 new colour options, a new alloy wheel design, and connected taillights.
Step inside, and the updates are more difficult to spot. It features a similarly sized digital instrument cluster, an infotainment screen, and a two-spoke steering wheel. The funky look of the older model remains with the facelift.

Powertrain


This is the most anticipated part of the facelift. Tata was very proud of the improved range of its battery pack. It now offers 30kWh and 40kWh packs (95 kW &. The claimed range for these powertrains is 365 km and 468km, respectively (ARAI-claimed). For the 40kWh pack, you can charge it up from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes and get a range top-up of 135 km in 15 mins, using fast charging.
Tata is also offering a lifetime warranty for both these battery packs, showing their confidence in its powertrain.

Features


With the facelift, the Punch EV flaunts an extensive equipment list that includes a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, cooled glovebox, TPMS, electric ORVMs, an auto-dimming IRVM, an electric sunroof, and front ventilated seats. Along with its 5-star BNCAP ratings, it also comes with 6 airbags as standard to inspire customer confidence.
