New Sierra Rival Launch Soon!
The Sierra is an iconic name in the Indian automotive segment, and Tata decided to capitalise on it by bringing it back. And Renault has also joined in on this trend. The French automaker has revived the popular name, Duster, while retaining the essence of the old one. It was unveiled to the public a few weeks ago, and its launch date has finally been announced.

Renault has confirmed that the launch is scheduled for March 17 2026. The technicalities of the Duster are no mystery, but the pricing is. Everyone will be waiting for its official pricing and then make the decision to choose between the Creta, the Sierra, the new Seltos or the Duster. However, we expect it to be priced between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Duster sports the same butch stance as its predecessor, but with some modern clothes on. The same applies to the cabin, which is a revelation compared to the old model. Not only do you get premium and spacious interiors, but it is also packed with plenty of features. These features include –
- Panoramic sunroof
- Electric tailgate
- 360-degree camera
- Ventilated and powered front seats
- Level-2 ADAS
- 10.1-inch infotainment screen
- 10.25-inch digital driver’s display

It will be offered with 3 engine options: a 1.8-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine (162bhp & 172Nm), a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine (160bhp & 280Nm), and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (99bhp & 160Nm). Only the non-hybrid variants will be launched on the 17th, and you will have to wait till late 2026 for the strong-hybrid variant. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed DCT and Renault’s 8-speed DHT gearbox (for the strong-hybrid trim).
If the automaker prices the Duster aggressively, we could see it replicate the success of its predecessor. Moreover, Renault is also planning to unveil a 7-seater and a sub-4m version of the Duster by the end of this year.
