New Japanese 7-seater Spotted Testing

After facing a lot of trouble in sales, Nissan has finally made a move, it will be launching several new cars in the coming year. And of those, one has now been spotted testing on Indian roads. Even though the spy shots show the model to be fully camouflaged – here’s everything that we can collect from it.

Now, the Japanese automaker has already revealed partial details of its upcoming 7-seater, Gravite. And the spotted model seems to be the same – from the design obviously. The spotted model comes with a design that resembles the Renault Triber. As it will be based on the same platform as the Triber does. However, there are some distinctive styling elements that can be observed, that includes sleek LED DRLs along with Gravite badging on the front, polygonal elements on the grille, and C-shaped bumper.
The interior of the model is yet to be spotted, but expect it to have the similar layout as the Renault Triber. With that here’s the feature list that we expect to be included –

So, the feature list that we expect on this Nissan 7-seater includes a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, 7-inch digital instrument control, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging pad, a USB port, cruise control, removable 3rd row seats and more in its package. Along with that, we expect a 6-airbag standard, hill start assist, ESP, rear parking sensor, traction control and TPMS systems to be included in the safety suite.

Powertrain

Talking about the powertrain, the Nissan Gravite is expected to be equipped with the similar powertrain options as the Triber. This includes a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine (70bhp & 96Nm) mated to a 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. A CNG option is already available for this engine at the dealer level.
If Nissan wants, it could try to offer the turbo petrol engine option as well with the Gravite, as it was highly demanded with the Triber. This mode could help Nissan generate some more sales.
