The Dominar stayed as a power cruiser, heavy and stable, a fast machine designed for open highways. However, the one thing enthusiasts want is a true Adventure tourer. Bajaj has finally answered the call. Recent spy shots of a souped-up motorcycle, named Dominar X ADV, have sent shockwaves through the motorcycle community.

The “X ADV” name suggests that the vehicle is undergoing a radical transformation. Dominar was more into touring, offering tall windscreens and luggage racks as factory options, and the spied model reveals much more aggressive intent. Unlike the naked look of the current model, the X ADV features a fairing that integrates seamlessly with a taller, more aerodynamic front end. This promises superior wind protection for those long tours, reducing fatigue due to windblast.

The rugged stance from the spy shots now shows a beefier front profile, hinting at inspirations from high-end Adventure Tourers. As for Ergonomics, expect a more upright seating position with wider handlebars, designed to give the rider more leverage when navigating light trails and highways.

Underneath the new bodywork, the Dominar X ADV is expected to retain its 373.3cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. Derived from KTM’s legendary 390, this motor produces a healthy 40 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. However, rumours suggest that Bajaj might retune it for better low-end grunt, making it more capable for off-road. The 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch will remain the same, ensuring smooth riding.

What To Expect?

Through the leaks, the Dominar X ADV will borrow heavily from the 2025 Dominar refresh.

  •  Digital Cockpit: A new LCD / Dot Matrix console featuring Bluetooth connectivity and Turn-by-Turn navigation will be standard.
  •  Rider Aids: For the first time, we might see switchable Traction Control and multiple Ride Modes (Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road) on a Dominar-badged bike.
  •  Suspension: While the USD forks are likely to stay, they may offer increased travel to make it handle like an ADV.
  • Additional expected features include switchable ABS, larger alloy wheels, and adjustable brake and clutch levers.

The Royal Enfield Himayan 450 and Triumph Scrambler 400X are dominating the mid-capacity adventure segment; Bajaj Auto needs a serious contender. And the X ADV could be priced competitively at Rs 3.10 lakh to Rs 3.30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), which could put it in good standing. With uncamouflaged test mules now being spotted, an official launch could arrive as early as mid-2026.
