Every time you look around, you will find a Maruti around you! And this has been the case for decades now. Affordability and low running costs are what the Indians want, and Maruti has gone above and beyond to cater to this audience. However, with time, Maruti also stepped into the slightly more premium SUVs, witnessing the rising demand. New Maruti SUV Coming Soon?

If you haven’t guessed it yet, it is none other than the Brezza. The Maruti Brezza has been a dependable choice for many seeking a spacious, practical and comfortable SUV at a decent price tag. However, when compared to its competitors, the Brezza is not on par when it comes to features and tech on offer. And now, we believe that Maruti might just change that soon. The Brezza facelift has been spotted testing multiple times, and we have a few unique insights from that. One of the key takeaways from the spy shots has been the massive touchscreen in the Brezza facelift. However, what’s even better is that Maruti might offer the Brezza with an underbody CNG tank, much like the Victoris.
It was very innovative of Maruti to bring in an underbody CNG tank – allowing for better fuel economy and running costs without compromising on practicality. And now, the Brezza, one of Maruti’s popular SUVs, could get this innovative feature. This will make it the only SUV in its segment to offer CNG without having to compromise on boot space, as even the Tata Nexon compromises a little, even with its dual-CNG cylinder tech. Mileage has always been a deciding factor for many Indian buyers, and the Brezza might just be the best to balance fuel economy as well as space and practicality. While Maruti has not yet revealed any launch timeline, it could launch the Brezza facelift by mid-2026. That said, what else can we expect from the upcoming Brezza facelift?

Maruti Brezza Facelift – What To Expect?

The Maruti Brezza has been a sensible choice for those who prefer function over form. But that means it isn’t the most feature-rich SUV. Well, Maruti might just change that with the facelift. As we can confirm from the spy shots, the Brezza facelift will likely get a massive touchscreen, which looks to be the biggest in its segment. Moreover, we can expect to see additional features like a digital instrument cluster, an ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat and much more. Existing features include a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof and a few more.
On the powertrain front, the existing Brezza gets a sole 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (102bhp & 137Nm), which is also offered with CNG. We expect Maruti to continue to offer this. However, rumours suggest that Maruti is working on a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, which could make it into the Brezza as well as other Maruti models later on. This 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine will allow the Brezza to utilise the GST 2.0 reforms to its advantage, allowing Maruti to price the Brezza aggressively. With the aggressive pricing, the Brezza might just become a great value-for-money proposition. Currently, the Brezza is priced between Rs 9.94 lakh and Rs 16.19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, with the smaller yet more powerful engine, Maruti may offer the Brezza at a starting price of around Rs 8.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
So, what do you think about the Brezza facelift?
