Renault SUV Concept Revealed!
Renault will launch the Duster on March 17, and it has given us something more to look forward to. A few weeks ago, we reported that a mini-Duster was in the works, and now the mini-Duster has finally been named “Bridger Concept”.

The French automaker has confirmed that the Bridger concept will be a sub-4m SUV and will be revealed to the world on the 10th of March. Keep in mind that this would just be a concept, and the production-spec model is not expected to be revealed until late 2027 or early 2028. When launched, it would be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 18 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and sit between the Kiger and Duster, in the Renault SUV lineup.

From the initial teaser, we can spot key details such as a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, roof rails, and a boxy stance. All these elements point to Renault planning to launch a sub-4m off-roader to take on the Thar. The Bridger Concept is likely to borrow many aesthetic elements from the Renault Duster, hence the name “mini-Duster”.

New Thar Rival – Expected Features & Specifications

The Bridger would share quite a few components with the Kiger and the Duster. Some of the expected features include an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a fully-digital driver’s display, wireless charging, etc.
The Bridger is expected to use the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (100 bhp & 152Nm) from the Kiger. However, Renault could give the 1.0-litre turbo a more-powerful tune with the Bridger. Gearbox options are expected to include a 6-speed manual and a CVT. And since Renault is already marketing it as an off-roading machine, it will likely get a 4WD drivetrain as well.
