MG Majestor – Design

The Majestor is based on the Gloster, but MG has refreshed it and is offering it as a more premium alternative. The Gloster was already a long vehicle, and the Majestor is even longer. It is 5.046 metres long, which means it is almost 300 mm longer than the Fortuner and 50 mm longer than the Gloster. The sleek headlights, huge grille and 19-inch alloys give it a commanding road presence. It is a clear step up over the Gloster. While the Gloster has a more subtle look, the Majestor looks more rugged and purposeful. And Indians love such SUVs.

MG has done a good job with the cabin as it looks premium, thanks to the well-laid-out dashboard and abundance of high-quality materials. You get handlebars on the dashboard (above the glovebox) and on the A-pillars and B-pillars for easy entry and exit from the cabin. Thanks to its large dimensions, the cabin boasts great practicality and space. It gets a decent 343 L boot with all rows up.

MG Majestor – Features

The Majestor is packed with features. The equipment list includes 6-airbags, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, 64-color ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, JBL sound system, Level-2 ADAS, dual wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, powered front seats with massage and ventilation settings, a panoramic sunroof, etc. The Majestor now boasts an impressive feature list and a clear improvement over the Toyota Fortuner.

MG Majestor – Powertrain

The Majestor’s powertrain options are limited. You get a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine ( 213 bhp & 479 Nm). It gets a 4WD option as well. The Majestor misses out on a petrol alternative. All in all, the Majestor sounds like a good deal as it offers plush interiors, striking looks and a powerful diesel engine.
