Maruti SUV Spotted testing

A Brezza test mule was spotted parked in a parking lot, suggesting that a facelift will be launched soon. With this test mule, we get a glimpse of what the Brezza facelift could look like. The car has been well concealed, but we can still spot a few design updates. The facelift gets a revised front grille and front bumpers, along with newer alloy wheel designs. Other highlights include parking sensors on the front bumper. The headlight design, however, remains unchanged.

While the overall look of the dashboard is identical to the outgoing Brezza, you can spot two noticeable changes inside the cabin – a larger infotainment display and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The equipment list for the outgoing Brezza includes an electric sunroof, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a 9-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, etc. With a facelift, we expect the Brezza facelift to get ventilated front seats, a digital driver’s display, and an ADAS suite. The front sensors add fuel to the speculation of an ADAS suite.

Maruti Brezza Facelift Spotted – Powertrain

The addition of a new gearbox indicates changes under the hood. The outgoing Brezza gets a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, which was a cause of its increased pricing, thanks to the GST 2.0 reforms. However, with a facelift, the SUV is expected to come with a smaller 1.2-litre petrol engine. With the new engine, Maruti can also enjoy the reduced tax benefits, ultimately slashing the price. It will likely be the same 1.2-litre Z-series engine that powers the new Swift & Dzire. However, for the Brezza, we can expect Maruti to offer a turbo option with the same engine.
While the details of the new engine options are yet to be confirmed, we do know it will get a new 6-speed manual transmission. Another gearbox option would include a 6-speed AT.
Furthermore, Maruti has announced their plans for a hybrid and flex-fuel powertrain. We could see the flex-fuel and hybrid variants of the Brezza launched soon after.

Maruti Brezza Facelift Spotted – Expected Pricing & Launch
If Maruti unveils a new 1.2-litre engine, we could see a price cut for the Brezza. The outgoing model costs between Rs 9.68 lakh and Rs 15.42 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The base variants are expected to get cheaper by Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000, but if Maruti were to add an ADAS suite, the top variants would get slightly more expensive.
While Maruti hasn’t revealed its complete plans for the Brezza facelift. We expect the facelift to be launched by late 2026.
