Maruti unveiled its first-ever electric SUV to the public a long time ago, but we haven’t heard much about it ever since. A few days ago, its pricing was leaked on the Nexa website, but now Maruti has clarified the issue and officially announced the price. And this pricing will definitely turn heads.

We are talking about the Maruti eVitara, Maruti’s first-ever electric vehicle, which has been priced at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Yes, you read that right, this price matches the Punch EV. Now you may wonder, how is Maruti able to sell a midsize SUV at such a cost? The Rs 11 lakh price tag is for the vehicle alone, and the battery will be charged separately. The Battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model is priced attractively, with battery usage charged at Rs 3.99 per km. For people who don’t wish to opt for BaaS, the pricing would be higher. Maruti is yet to announce the pricing for other variants.
