Both the adventure motorcycles have a high stance, so you will feel you are riding something big. However, the size of RE Himalayan might stress you up a bit, it’s too muscular and looks heavy from a distance. Even on papers, its weight is suggested to be 196kg, compared to the KTM ADV 390 which is nearly 182kg. But, the weight of either bikes will not disturb your ride

Both the bikes perform exceptionally well on the highways. The KTMs generate more power. But the Himalayan’s engine won’t make you feel left out. The suspensions on Himalayan deserve to be appreciated, while the KTMs might need to be worked upon. The setup on KTM isn’t stiff, but once you ride Himalayan, you might feel the KTMs suspension is on the other side.

Currently the bike-makers are filling the list of features on their motorcycles, and being ADVs they need to have a few road biased ones. Albeit, the Himalayan being a popular choice – it misses out on offering cruise control, cornering ABS, adjustable suspensions, and traction control. In terms of features, the ADV 390 X, might be a better option as KTM has offered the cruise control and other riding aids.
