To thrive in the market, KTM would really need to think about its ADV 250!

KTM 250 ADV Updates –
For a long time, KTM used its 250 ADV as a decoy in the market. The gap between the 390 ADV and 250 ADV was very slim, making the buyers put in a little more and buy the 390. Now, after the GST 2.0, the prices have skyrocketed, the KTM ADV 390 S now costs Rs 5 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

That said, the ADV 250 has now become a better choice amongst the masses. But, it seriously needs to be updated. Even though KTM has updated its design, some feature additions can be added to let it have a good stance compared to its rivals.
At present, it faces a tough competition against the TVS RTX 300. The RTX offers an unbelievable sort of feature list including the Cruise control, adjustable suspension, navigation of screen – which are seen to be missing on the KTM ADV 250. Apart from that, the RTX is more powerful than the 250 ADV. Moreover, the asking price of both these motorcycles is more-or-less similar.

Will It Update The 250?

We already have discussed that KTM will be trying to introduce a new 350cc model. But, it could take a little more time. To not let the demand scatter, KTM might try to offer some lucrative deals with the ADV 250, but what exactly a buyer needs is a better upgrade. Even if KTM offers the cruise control on the 250 ADV, it can take a head-on-head with other ADVs in the segment.
Apart from this feature addition, KTM should also work on the vibrations. The 250 ADV has vibrations near 4,000 and 5,000 RPM, it can be felt around the foot pegs. A better rubber grip across the foot holds can be an option to lower this feel.
Now, we aren’t yet confirmed if the brand will surely put something into this model. As this is all speculation looking at the market needs, and competition. But in the coming time, we expect everything will unfold. However, if it gets updated, KTM might increase the price of this model, as it did with the ADV 390 X after giving it the cruise control feature.
At present, the KTM 250 ADV is priced at Rs 2.83 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the feature additions, the model might feature a price tag of up to Rs 3.05 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
