New Honda Activa 7G – Know This Before Buying

Your family’s favourite scooter will be receiving a new-generation update very soon. The dates haven’t been confirmed but let us give you a tip, it will be done in the new year, and very soon we will be letting you know the dates too. But, should you hold up your plan of buying the current model and wait for the new generation? Let’s know – 

Well, in the 7th generation the Activa is expected to undergo some changes, mainly cosmetics. So, on the front you will be watching it get a redesigned headlamp setup, new DRLs, reworked tail lights – we also hope Honda will add some metal parts as at present it gets all fibre ones. With the new-generation, there will be some new colour options too. Honda might even add some features with this new model, but we really don’t think it is needed with this scooter. Some of the additions might be carried over from the 125cc Activa on this model.

Apart from that, Honda will continue with the same 109.5cc engine from the current model. The engine is known to be reliable, fuel-efficient and deliver a good performance over the years.

Is CNG On The Cards Too?

Now, as TVS and Suzuki have shown their interest in developing CNG scooters, many assumed that Honda might also think of the same with the Activa. However, at present, there’s no confirmation or assurance from the brand regarding the same. That said, it looks unlikely that a CNG engine will make its way on the new gen Activa any time soon. 

But, as Honda now holds the bookings of its electric iteration of Activa, the brand might think about including a CNG model in its lineup. However, it is just a speculation, an official announcement is yet to be made.

What Else?

Now, talking about the launch and pricing of the Activa 7G. The new generation model of this scooter is expected to be launched by early 2026. Pricing-wise, expect the new gen model to see a price hike. At present, the Activa is sold at a price tag ranging between Rs 92,228 and Rs 1.06 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
