KTM 390 Range Will Stay!

Industry sources have confirmed that KTM will continue to sell their 390 range alongside the upcoming downsized 350cc models. This move from the brand will ensure that it still caters to the massive KTM cult. It also allows new buyers to decide whether they want the newer 350cc bikes, which would be cheaper but less powerful, or pay more for greater performance. The Duke 390 and 390 Adventure have always been popular for their mind-numbing performance, and over the years, the bike has evolved into a beautiful piece of machinery.

We are unsure whether the same oomph and character will exist with the downsized 350cc versions. And so, this initiative helps buyers seeking true KTM performance to get what they desire. Triumph and Bajaj will likely sell only the downsized 350cc bikes to make the most of the GST 2.0 reforms. But staying true to its enthusiasts, KTM is making a bold move. It is not clear how long KTM will continue to sell its 390s. We can vouch for the fact that few enthusiasts would still choose the 390s over the newer and cheaper 350s to experience the sheer performance on tap.

What Else?

The current KTM 399cc engine in the Duke 390, 390 Adventure (X, S and R), 390 Enduro R, and RC 390 produces 45bhp and 39Nm of torque along with a slick-shifting 6-speed gearbox. This new engine was introduced with the latest generation of the KTM 390 series, and we all love it. We hope that KTM is able to retain the same grunt and personality with the downsized 350cc models.
