Tata SUV Discount!

Amidst the hype of the Sierra, Nexon and Punch, people ignore some of Tata’s other models. And to bring some attention to these models, Tata is offering huge discounts. The Curvv.ev is the biggest benefactor of these discounts.

The Curvv.ev is being offered with a massive ₹3.45 lakh discount across all variants, except for the base Creative one. Interestingly, this means the top variants cost almost the same as the base variant, and you can get a feature-packed model for well under ₹20 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). And in comparison, the ICE-Curvv top variant costs ₹22.99 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). So why buy the fuel-propelled Curvv when you can get an EV for cheaper?

Save Rs 10 Lakh?

In up-front costs, you save ₹3.45 lakh with the Curvv.ev. And now the calculation gets more interesting. For deeper insight, let us compare the Curvv.ev top-end to the petrol Curvv top-end. Also, keep in mind that the top-end Curvv EV is ₹3 lakh cheaper than the top-end Curvv petrol due to discounts.

Now, let us assume that both cars are driven for 1 lakh kms. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol of the Curvv has a real-world mileage of around 11-12kmpl (considering most of it is done in cities). Over this span, you would spend around ₹9-10 lakh on fuel. In comparison, across the same stretch with an EV, you would spend 2-3 lakh. Combine these numbers, and you save more than ₹10 lakh. And to save this money, all you sacrifice is the engine’s exhaust note, because both cars are identical except for the powertrain.
