Dangerous Indian Roads – What’s New?

We have been frequently complaining about the quality of Indian roads. A recent viral video from Thane’s Mira-Bhayander shows another construction marvel from the constructors, where a newly installed speed hump is so big that even SUV owners need to zig-zag their vehicles from it so they don’t bash the underbody of cars. This construction raises a need for proper rules and measurements for everything built on the roads – each speed breaker should be of a perfect size that even cars having low ground clearance should pass on from ease.

Apart from those cars, the video also captures the struggle of autos and bikers too. Even such breakers might increase the chances of accidents and traffic like situations. Sometimes, truck drivers don’t measure the speed breaker length and generally go from it on the same speed, and eventually it can create a dangerous situation for the other commuters. 

Moreover, usually the speed breakers have markings around them. But it seems, the contractors were in a hurry during constructing this.

No one can beat India in the comment sections. This time too several people took their time and trolled this construction marvel in their own style. Some of the comments highlighted the need of a standard measurement for each and every speed breaker, while some others commented that this is not a speed breaker, but rather is a car-breaker. Other users have commented that this is a mountain not a usual breaker. 

So, we would actually like to ask the contractor about why this thing was created in the first place. As this can eventually damage the cars, bikes and other vehicles and more dangerously it can create a more hazardous situation for the commuters.
