New Tata SUV Launched!

The Tata Punch has been one of the best-selling SUVs in the market recently. And with its recent facelift, Tata aims to maintain high sales figures. And now it has also launched the Tata Punch.ev facelift. On first glance, you barely notice any difference from its predecessor. But when you go through the variants, you realise that the changes are significant. So let us run through each of these variants now, shall we?

Tata Punch.ev Facelift – Powertrain

With the facelift, the Punch.ev now gets 2 new battery pack options – 30kWh (87bhp & 154Nm) and 40kWh(127bhp & 154Nm). Claimed ranges for these battery options are 365 km and 468 km, respectively.

You can get the 30kWh pack on these variants –

On the other hand, the 40kWh is offered with – 

• Smart+
• Adventure
• Empowered 
• Empowered+

Tata Punch.ev Facelift – Smart

The Smart trim is offered with the 30kWh battery pack as standard. It is the entry-level variant and is priced at Rs 10.20 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Some notable features of the Smart trim are –

• Front and rear headrests

Trims above the Smart variants get the 40kWh battery as standard. The Adventure trim sits in the middle of the variant range and costs Rs 12.34 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Some features that it gets over the Smart+ variant are –

The Empowered+ S is the variant with all the bells and whistles. Tata has priced the Empowered+ S trim at Rs 13.39 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). For this cost, you get additional features like –

Tata Punch.ev Facelift – Which Variant To Buy?

It is obvious which battery pack you should choose – the 40kWh one. Tata has made this option more accessible by offering it on the lower Smart + variant. But if you want an SUV with a substantial claimed range and all the necessary features, you should go for the Empowered trim. It misses out on a few features from the top variant, like front ventilated seats and a sunroof, but otherwise, there are no omissions that would make you regret your decision.
