What’s The Catch?
The 7-year warranty isn’t as simple as you think and, like most enticing deals, comes with a list of terms and conditions. For starters, you get a 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty as standard. And you are only eligible for the extended warranty if you get the services done in a timely manner.
Moreover, it still isn’t as simple. The warranty gets extended by 1 year at a time. For instance, if servicing has been completed at the scheduled intervals for the first 3 years, you will be eligible for the 4th year. And if you get the service done in time for the 4th year, you are only then eligible for the 5th year. Now this continues for the 6th and 7th years.
