New 7-Seater MPV Spotted!

VinFast entered the market in late 2025 and, in no time, was already outselling Hyundai and Kia in the EV segment. That’s not a small thing. But now they want to take on a completely different game, the 7-seater electric MPV market. Enter the VinFast Limo Green.

This test mule sports camouflage, yet we can notice some key details. Design-wise, it’s very much a VinFast, with a signature full-width LED light bar at the front, a V-shaped DRL signature, flush door handles, and a sleek connected LED strip at the rear. The spotted Limo Green is a full-electric MPV with a 2+3+2 seating layout. It’s premium-looking and does the job of looking like a modern EV family car without going overboard.

This is VinFast’s third product for India, and it’s going straight after the BYD eMax 7 and the Kia Carens Clavis EV. Big ambitions. Let’s break it all down.

Interior

How Does The Inside Look? How Does The Inside Look?

The Limo Green is a full-electric MPV with a 2+3+2 seating layout. Think of it as a spacious family haulier with an EV heart.

VinFast has gone the minimalist route here, just like with the VF6 and VF7. The dashboard is clean and dominated by a 10.1-inch central touchscreen that handles most functions. There’s no separate driver’s display; instead, you get a head-up display (HUD).

You also get single-zone automatic climate control, USB fast charging ports, and a 4-speaker sound system. Don’t expect Bose or anything fancy here; this is a practical family MPV, not a luxury one. The 2+3+2 layout means all three rows are usable.

7-Seater MPV Spotted – Battery And Range

It sits on the same platform as the VF7, which means VinFast can localise production at its Tamil Nadu plant, keeping costs in check.

The global-spec has claimed Range (NEDC) for this vehicle is 450 km, and it produces a Motor Output of 201 hp with a Battery Pack of 60.1 kWh, which can easily charge the vehicle from 10–70% in just 30 min with DC Fast Charge. Real-world range in Indian conditions, with AC running and mixed driving, will likely be closer to 320-360 km.

Don’t forget VinFast has extended its free EV charging offer all the way to March 31, 2029. That’s available to all existing and new VinFast buyers across India. This is the edge that VinFast is proving over other brands, as the constantly rising prices of petrol and diesel make the running-cost advantage of an EV even more significant.

Competition

This is where it gets real. The Limo Green isn’t walking into an empty room. The BYD eMax 7, Kia Carens Clavis EV, Toyota Innova Hyross hybrid and the Mahindra XEV9S are its expected rivals.

On paper, the Limo Green looks like a genuinely good value, with bigger dimensions, a similar range, and a lower expected price. But VinFast needs to deliver on real-world reliability and after-sales support. That will build buyer confidence. Moreover, the Limo Green isn’t necessarily feature-loaded, so it could be offered at an aggressive price point.

Nothing is official yet, but this 7-seater could be priced somewhere around Rs 23-29 lakh on-road in Mumbai. If VinFast hits that number, it would seriously undercut the competition. VinFast has surprised us before, and the final price could swing either way. So, stay tuned.
