When we talk about best-selling SUVs, the Hyundai Creta & the Tata Nexon are the two names we think about. However, the Nexon came into the limelight post-GST cut. Prior to that, it was the Tata Punch that ruled the list of best-selling SUVs! And yes, it is the Punch facelift that was recently spotted testing in Munnar! Although the test car was completely covered with camouflage, the design is unmistakably resembling Tata’s current line-up of SUVs, including the Punch.ev!

So, the fresh spy shots back our earlier speculations of the Punch ICE facelift to receive a similar design language as its EV version. Talking of which, the exterior includes design elements like connected LED DRLs, vertically positioned LED headlamps & fog lamps, redesigned front & rear bumpers, redesigned LED taillamps & new alloy wheels. The interior has also been spotted this time! The spy shot reveals a similar dashboard layout like the EV model. Some noticeable elements include – a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, a digital instrument cluster, and a 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo. However, we can expect the model to also come with a touch-based AC control system & new features like ventilated front seats.

Tata Punch Facelift Details

Apart from visual changes, the Punch facelift will mechanically remain unchanged. It will likely continue with the same 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (87bhp & 115Nm), paired with a 5MT & 5AMT gearbox options. The CNG option will also continue with the facelift, as the test car was equipped with the same. Regarding launch, the Punch facelift is expected to be launched in early 2026. For which, it could get a hike of up to Rs 60,000 over the current model. Currently, the SUV is priced between Rs 6.39 lakh & Rs 10.63 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
