Any guesses? Well, Mahindra’s best-selling SUVs have been the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic. Now, it is the Mahindra Scorpio N that was spotted testing in Chennai. There have been instances of the Scorpio N Pik Up being spotted. But the Scorpio N SUV test mule has only been spotted for the second time. This time, the Scorpio N test mule was very heavily camouflaged, revealing not many details. However, we do expect a few cosmetic changes to the Scorpio N as part of the update. It is possible that the updated Scorpio N will likely get a revised front and rear bumper, a new DRL design, a revised grille, and a few more minor changes.

While the test mule has identical wheels to the existing Scorpio N, we do expect Mahindra to offer larger 19-inch alloy wheels along with a slightly different design to enhance the rugged design of the SUV further. Apart from the exterior changes, Mahindra could alter a few things on the inside. Mahindra may offer a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, like the one on the Thar Roxx. Moreover, the Scorpio N could also get ventilated rear seats, a powered co-passenger seat, and much more. While things are still under wraps, industry sources suggest that Mahindra could launch the Scorpio N in the Q1 of 2026, following the launch of the XUV 7XO. But will Mahindra make any changes to the engines?

What Else?

It is unlikely that Mahindra will make any drastic changes to the engine options for the updated Mahindra Scorpio N. However, it would be nice to see if Mahindra offers the more powerful tune of the diesel engine from the XUV700 in the updated Scorpio N. The Scorpio N currently gets 2 engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (200bhp & 380Nm of torque) and a 2.2-litre diesel engine (130bhp & 300Nm or 172bhp & 400Nm). The diesel is offered with the option of AWD as well. We could expect the updated Scorpio N to be priced between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 30.50 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
