The 350cc models receive a subtle drop in power and torque figures by 2.4 bhp and 1.8 Nm, respectively, as compared to the original 400 bikes
Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the Pulsar NS350Z and Dominar 350 in the Indian market. However, ahead of the official launch which is likely to be in the first week of April 2026, the engine specs of both the bikes have been leaked. As we have told several times before, the 350cc engine is not an all-new engine but a downsized version of the existing 373cc engine seen in the Pulsar NS400Z and Dominar 400. Bajaj Pulsar NS350Z and Dominar 350 prices are expected to be significantly lesser than the 400 models.
First things first, the new engine has displacement of 349.13cc which is approx 24cc less than the original powertrain’s 373cc. While the same bore has been retained at 89 mm, the stroke has been reduced from 60 mm to 56.1 mm. The 350cc engine is still a single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit which comes paired with 6-speed gearbox, slip and assist clutch, and single spark plug.
The new engine develops top power of 40 bhp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 33.2 Nm at 7500 rpm. The power and torque has come down by 2.4 bhp and 1.8 Nm, respectively, which is not going to make a big difference in the overall performance of both the Pulsar NS350Z and Dominar 350. Apart from the downsized engine, both these models are likely to be the same in terms of design, features and cycle parts.

The Dominar 400 is sold at a price point of Rs 2.40 lakh while the Pulsar NS400Z is available at a sticker price of Rs 1.94 lakh. The new 350cc models are expected to get a significant reduction in price at around Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh for the Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS400Z, respectively. However, a media report claims that Bajaj could keep the pricing of the 350 models identical to the 400 models as the brand had absorbed the GST hike without passing it to the buyers.
Earlier, there used to be a uniform GST on two-wheelers at 28 percent. However, things changed in Sep 2025 when the Indian government rolled out the GST 2.0 with changes in tax slabs on two-wheelers, depending on the engine capacity. This led to the increased GST on bikes like Pulsar NS400Z and Dominar 400. However, as an interim measure, Bajaj absorbed this hike and did not pass it on to the buyers.

Bikes with engine capacity below 350cc attract 18 percent as compared to 40 percent tax on models with engine capacity above 350cc. Hence, the company has carried out this move to enjoy the benefits of lower tax. The 400 versions of both the Pulsar and Dominar will be discontinued once the 350cc models go on sale in the Indian market.
