Besides the sensational growth in YoY sales, Ather Rizta also recorded exceptional MoM growth of 41 percent in Jan 2026
Ather Rizta electric scooter posted strong YoY and MoM growth last month in the domestic market. The company retailed a total of 20,155 units of the e-scooter in Jan 2026 as compared to 11,978 units in Jan 2025 as YoY sales grew by 68 percent. In addition, the MoM sales rose by 41 percent as 14,282 units of the Rizta were sold in Dec 2025. Ather Energy’s overall sales stood at 25,765 units last month against 17,494 units in Jan 2025 as it became the eight biggest two-wheeler brand in the Indian market.
The Rizta e-scooter has been the highest-selling model for the brand for the last few months. It has also been the third best-selling electric scooter in the Indian market after TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak. The Rizta has been outnumbering Ola’s S1 range of electric scooters by a decent margin in the past several months. Recently, it also surpassed the 2 lakh units sales milestone.
Last month, Ather Energy added Tamil language on the dashboard of the Rizta Z to commemorate the festival of Pongal. The Tamil, rolled out as an over-the-air (OTA) update across the entire Rizta Z range, has become active on the scooter’s instrument panel from this month in a phased manner. Apart from Tamil, the riders have access to Hindi and Kannada languages as well.

Ather Rizta, presented as the company’s first family electric scooter, is offered in two trims namely S and Z with IDC range of 123 km and 159 km, respectively. It gets 34 litres under seat storage area and an optional 22 litres frunk accessory. The floorboard too is quite spacious as it provides decent legroom for the rider as well as small belongings.
Ather Rizta is packed with a plethora of advanced features in the form of SkidControl, Live Location Sharing, Ping My Scooter (Rizta Z only), Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and Tow & Theft Alerts. In Aug 2025 at the Annual Community Day, the company announced that it will bring the touchscreen functionality for the Rizta range.

Ather Rizta is not only sold in India but also in multiple global markets, including Nepal and Sri Lanka. Presently, Ather Energy has more than 524 Experience Centres (dealerships) across the country. The Rizta is also available with the BaaS subscription model which reduces the upfront pricing by up to a huge extent as it is priced at just Rs 75,999 (ex-showroom).
