The Thar has never really needed a facelift to sell. People were buying it sight unseen. But Mahindra is giving it one anyway. The Thar update is expected to arrive between July and September 2026. Spy shots confirm a six-double-slot grille flanked by LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs, directly inspired by the larger Thar Roxx.

More importantly, it’s finally getting features that buyers have been asking for since the Thar Roxx launched. Passive keyless entry, push-button start, wireless charger, and ventilated front seats are all expected, while no mechanical changes are planned. It is expected to launch around late 2026 or early 2027 with a price range of Rs 12 to 22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

2. Mahindra BE 07

2. Mahindra BE 072. Mahindra BE 07

The Mahindra BE.07 stands out as a Harrier-sized premium electric SUV, blending bold design with advanced tech. Inside, it may feature a sleek, full-width triple-screen dashboard. At the same time, underneath, it rides on the INGLO platform with three battery options: 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh, each paired with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, delivering 228 bhp, 241 bhp, and 282 bhp, respectively, along with a consistent 380 Nm torque across all variants.

The 59 kWh battery is expected to offer a range of over 521 kilometres, while the 70kWh pack could push that to over 600 kilometres, and the 79 kWh pack will offer a range of 679 kilometres on a single charge. For a country where range anxiety is still one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption, those numbers are game-changers. Originally planned for October 2026, Mahindra has confirmed a slight delay and the BE 07 is now expected to launch as the BE 7 in 2027. It is expected to be priced between Rs 25 and 30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

3. BE 6 and XEV 9e Range Extender – Upcoming Mahindra SUV

3. BE 6 and XEV 9e - Upcoming Mahindra SUV3. BE 6 and XEV 9e - Upcoming Mahindra SUV

The BE 6 and XEV 9e already rewrote what affordable EVs look like in India. Together, they sell one unit every 10 minutes nationwide, and in just 10 months, the two models have combined to sell 41,000 units. But Mahindra isn’t stopping there.

Mahindra is considering range extender hybrids for the BE 6 and XEV 9e, internally codenamed M130 and M330. A range extender is primarily an electric vehicle that uses a small petrol engine solely as a generator to recharge the battery and extend driving range, not to drive the wheels directly. The range extender setup will use Mahindra’s existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine functioning as a generator. The final decision on a market launch will depend on customer response to the existing EVs. For buyers who love the BE 6’s design but worry about charging infrastructure on long trips, this could be the version that removes the last hesitation. It is expected to see a price hike of Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000.

4. Vision S

4. Vision S4. Vision S

The Vision S is a sub-4-metre SUV concept that, at first glance, appears to be a baby version of the Mahindra Scorpio N. It has an upright stance and features a rectangular, blacked-out front grille, inverted L-shaped LED headlights, vertical DRL strips, pixel-shaped LED fog lamps, and a prominent silver skid plate, all for a rugged look.  The side profile brings a traditional boxy SUV shape together with modern touches, flush door handles and sharp dual-tone alloy wheels that feel like they belong on something twice the price.

Inside, the Vision S may get a dual-tone navy blue and grey cabin, an integrated dual-screen setup for infotainment and driver display, a touch-enabled climate control panel, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. The seats come upholstered in navy blue and black leatherette with white contrast stitching, the kind of detail you’d expect from a Rs 20 lakh car, not one expected to start around Rs 12 lakh.

5. XUV 3XO Facelift And Hybrid – Upcoming Mahindra SUV

The XUV 3XO didn’t need much help. It was one of the best compact SUVs in its price bracket. But Mahindra is upgrading it on two fronts. A strong hybrid version of the XUV 3XO, codenamed S226, is expected to launch by 2026. It will pair the existing 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a hybrid system, making it Mahindra’s first strong hybrid SUV, where both the electric motor and the petrol engine can power the wheels simultaneously for better fuel efficiency.

Alongside the hybrid, an EV version is also being developed. The XUV 3XO EV is expected to feature a redesigned grille, C-shaped taillamps, EV-specific badges, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and a battery estimated at around 39.4 kWh, providing a 351 km MIDC-certified range.  Two new powertrains on one of India’s most popular nameplates, that’s a very busy 2026 ahead for the 3XO. It is expected to be priced between Rs 10 and 19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

6. New Generation Bolero

The Bolero has been quietly selling 8,000 to 9,000 units every single month for years. It doesn’t advertise heavily. It doesn’t need to. Rural India buys it. But the new-generation Bolero is a completely different story. The new Mahindra Bolero 2026 is expected to get a complete visual overhaul with styling inspired by the Scorpio N and Thar. It retains a boxy silhouette but adds circular projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a redesigned grille with the new Mahindra logo, angular wheel arches, flush door handles, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Maybe the Mahindra could keep selling the current Bolero and offer another alternative under the Bolero name, like it did before with the Neo and Scorpio N.

It will be underpinned by a new platform called the New Flexible Architecture (NFA) and is expected to feature a panoramic sunroof, a large infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and front- and rear-parking sensors. Expected price of around Rs 10 to Rs 14 lakh. The Bolero, which built Mahindra’s rural dominance, is about to become relevant in cities too.

7. Scorpio N Facelift – Upcoming Mahindra SUV

7. Scorpio N Facelift - Upcoming Mahindra SUV7. Scorpio N Facelift - Upcoming Mahindra SUV

The Scorpio N launched in 2022 and immediately became one of the most in-demand SUVs in the country. But now it’s starting to feel outdated, and a facelift is expected to arrive in the first half of 2026. The Scorpio N facelift is expected to feature a revised grille, reworked bumpers, updated headlamps and tail lamps with redesigned internals, new 18-inch alloys, and a fresh colour scheme inside. The headline cabin upgrade: a large touchscreen infotainment system borrowed from the Thar Roxx, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS on higher trims. Both the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engines carry forward, with 4×4 continuing on the diesel. It is expected to be priced between Rs 17.5 and 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

8. Scorpio N Pickup

Mahindra is moving closer to launching a pickup truck based on the Scorpio N, with spy images throughout 2025 suggesting advanced development. Earlier test mules featured a single-cab layout, but more recent spy shots point to a dual-cab setup, better suited for Indian buyers who want both cargo space and passenger practicality.
The first hint of this pickup came in November 2023, when design patent images surfaced closely matching the Global Pik Up concept shown at Mahindra’s Futurescape event in South Africa. The launch is expected in 2026, with the pickup set to rival the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.  If Mahindra prices this right, it won’t just compete in the lifestyle pickup segment. It’ll create one. It is also expected to be priced between Rs 16 and 30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
