Suzuki Hayabusa Sales FY26 India, New Milestone Unlocked

Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the most popular motorcycles in the 1,000-1,600cc segment in the Indian market

Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the most iconic superbikes currently on sale in the Indian market. Well, long story short, it all started with the Bollywood flick ‘Dhoom’ back in 2004 when the superbike made its first impression on the Indian audience. Since then, the Hayabusa has attained the status of a cult superbike and hence, Suzuki had to start the local production of the motorcycle in India. Now, we have learnt that Suzuki Hayabusa achieved record sales in FY26 as a total of 543 units were sold with a YoY growth of 6 percent as compared to 511 units in FY25.

The sales data show that retail volumes were higher in the first half of FY26 before the GST 2.0 came into effect in Sep 2025. Due to the revised tax structure, which increased tax from 28 percent to 40 percent on two-wheelers with engine capacity above 350cc, it became more expensive by Rs 1.16 lakh. The sales data reveals that the Hayabusa remains Suzuki’s best-selling superbike with overall sales of 2943 units till date.

In the first half of FY26, 324 units of the Hayabusa were sold while it went down by 32 percent to 219 units in the second half of FY26. The primary reason behind the steep decline in sales volumes was the price increase of Rs 1.16 lakh. Presently, Suzuki Hayabusa is available at a sticker price of Rs 18.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market.
