Hyundai Creta Facelift 2026-

Ever since its launch in 2015, Creta has been a leading product in the midsize SUV segment. This Hyundai SUV offered a near-perfect blend of feature-rich interiors, diverse powertrains, great reliability and road presence. Hyundai has been very generous, giving the Creta timely updates to keep it relevant in the market. And soon we can expect another update as well. What will be changed?

Safety-

Well, the Creta seems like a very well-packaged SUV, but it has some downsides that could be addressed with the upcoming facelift. Safety was one of the major concerns with the Creta, following the 3-star safety rating at Global NCAP. But in recent times, we have seen that the Kia Seltos Facelift secured a 5-star safety rating, thanks to the new K3 platform. The same platform is expected to be offered with the new Creta as well, making it safer. Not just safer, Seltos became the safest car with this platform, by scoring 31.70 out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 14 out of 49 for child occupant protection. And Creta, with its popularity and a new, safe platform, can take its sales even further. What else will change?

Looks & Features-

The connected DRLs on the front are gonna stay with the facelift too. The Creta facelift could get boxier, with a more upright front end featuring a rectangular grille. In the rear, we can expect revisions to the LED taillight and sportier bumpers. The K3 platform is slightly larger than the current Creta’s platform; that said, the Creta Facelift will be slightly larger than the previous generation.

Inside the cabin, this SUV is also impressive for most of us, featuring a dual 10.25-inch screen setup with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof and much more. In addition, there can be a heads-up display and multicoloured ambient lighting. The ADAS Level-2 being offered with this can also be optimised even further. To ensure safety, this SUV will come equipped with 6 airbags and features such as collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and more.

Powertrain-

Under the hood, the Creta is expected to be largely the same. Featuring the 1.5-litre NA petrol(115bhp, 144Nm), 1.5-litre turbo petrol(160bhp, 253Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engines(116bhp, 250Nm). With this engine option, you can pick any one of the following gearboxes: 6-speed Manual, 6-speed torque converter, CVT, or 7-speed DCT. There is no official word on the introduction of Hyundai’s hybrid powertrains with this update. But we can expect the automaker to work on the architecture and make provisions to accommodate the hybrid powertrain in the near future. Hear all of this, you might be wondering how long we have to wait for this Creta facelift?

Expected Launch & Pricing-

As the official launch date is under wraps, we can expect the Creta facelift to launch by the end of 2026 or in the first half of 2027. Considering rivals like the Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, and Kia Seltos, this new Creta is expected to be priced aggressively, ranging from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
