Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift- What To Expect? » MotorOctane

Maruti Suzuki once again showcased its dominance in the Indian market, with more than 24 lakhs Marutis being sold in a year. And one of their most popular SUVs is about to get an update! Yes, you guessed it right, Maruti will be giving the Brezza a much-needed mid-life update very, very soon. Wondering what all will change? Here is everything you can expect from it-

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift

Brezza is the 5th-best-selling Maruti right now, with about 1.80 lakh units sold in the financial year 205-26. In the market full of aggressive newcomers, somehow Brezza does not scream for attention. The popularity of Brezza’s reliability, hassle-free ownership and good mileage figures speaks directly through its sales figures. And this is expected to get even better with the new facelift! Why are we saying that? Recent sightings have shown the Brezza facelift under extensive testing. What can we identify from these test mules? Let’s discuss-

Looks – Brezza Facelift

The front fascia of the Brezza is expected to be refreshed with a new grille, a slightly different design featuring chrome inserts and some tweaks to the front bumper. More cosmetic changes are to be made as well, and to carry this updated look, Brezza will also be equipped with a new set of alloy wheels. With all the refreshed elements on the same old practical shape, this could be the Maruti SUV that both you and your father would appreciate for its looks. The Brezza falls short in terms of technology, but the upcoming facelift aims to fix that.

Addition Of New Features-

We might have some good news for you! Maruti can introduce missing interior features, such as a powered driver’s seat, ventilated seats, and a full digital instrument cluster, in the Brezza facelift, which they shared with other Maruti models. Also, this new Brezza might get a larger 10.1-inch infotainment screen. For driver assistance, it could also feature a 360-degree parking camera and an ADAS Level-2 suite. What else?

Powertrain-

One of the most favourite bits for Indians about the Brezza is its powertrain offerings. Buyers appreciate the 1.5-litre petrol engine (102 bhp and 137 Nm) and its petrol+CNG variant for delivering excellent fuel efficiency and adequate performance. Paired with the 5-speed manual and 6-speed AT gearbox. Recent spy shots show a test mule running a 6-speed manual gearbox, which will be a new addition to gearbox options. And there aren’t any other signs that these specs will change with the upcoming facelift. But there are speculations that the Brezza facelift can get the underbody CNG, which would eventually save a lot of boot space.

Expected Price & Launch-

While the official launch dates are still under wraps, with constant test mule sightings, we can expect this SUV to launch in the coming months. The current Brezza is priced between Rs 9.68 lakh and Rs 15.42 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With that being said, the new Brezza is expected to be priced slightly higher than this, with a hike of about Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000. Brezza is Maruti’s answer to the Tata Nexon, which is also not far behind in sales, and with the new facelift, the competition can get even more competitive. Other rivals remain the Mahindra 3XO, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. What do you think about this new Brezza?
