The Dominar 350 has received a price cut of around Rs 37,000 against the 400cc model as it has a starting price of Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom)
Recently, the Bajaj Pulsar NS350Z was spotted at a company dealership and the price of the bike was also leaked ahead of the official launch in the country. Surprisingly, the pricing was reduced by only Rs 500, despite the model now enjoying the benefits of lower GST. On the other hand, we have learnt that Bajaj Dominar 350 has received a price cut of more than Rs 37,000 as compared to the original 400cc motorcycle. The Dominar 350 price is reported to be Rs 2.03 lakh while the Dominar 400 costs Rs 2.40 lakh in the Indian market. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom.
Despite being equipped with a 350cc engine, the bike would continue with the Dominar 400 nameplate and we believe the company will take the same path for the Pulsar NS400Z. Earlier, the brand followed the same approach with the Triumph 350cc bikes, as they too retained their original ā400ā badging. With the downsized 350cc engine, the Dominar 400 would attract 18 percent GST as compared to the 400cc version which was taxed heavily at 40 percent.
Bajaj Auto has downsized the existing 373cc engine to 349.13cc by reducing the stroke from 60 mm to 56.1 mm while the bore has been retained at 89 mm. The power and torque figures have also gone down by 2.4 bhp and 1.8 bhp, respectively, as the 350cc mill is rumoured to produce top power of 40 bhp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 33.2 Nm at 7500 rpm.

Looking at the figures, it is highly unlikely that overall performance of the Dominar 350 will be affected. The 350cc engine, still a single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit, will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slip and assist clutch, and single spark plug. Apart from the downsized engine, the bike will remain unchanged in terms of design, features and cycle parts.
Earlier, there used to be a uniform GST on two-wheelers at 28 percent. However, things changed in Sep 2025 when the Indian government rolled out the GST 2.0 with changes in tax slabs on two-wheelers, depending on the engine capacity. This led to the increased GST on bikes like Pulsar NS400Z and Dominar 400. However, as an interim measure, Bajaj absorbed this hike and did not pass it on to the buyers.

Bikes with engine capacity below 350cc attract 18 percent as compared to 40 percent tax on models with engine capacity above 350cc. Hence, the company has carried out this move to enjoy the benefits of lower tax. The 400 versions of both the Pulsar and Dominar will be discontinued once the 350cc models go on sale in the Indian market.
