KTM 390 Duke, 390 Adventure X Price Hiked in India

The 390 Duke and 390 Adventure X have become dearer by Rs 40,000 and Rs 17,000, respectively, in the Indian market

KTM India has hiked the prices of two of its motorcycles in the 390 range in the country. The said models in question here are the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure X, which have received a significant raise in price by Rs 40,000 and Rs 17,000, respectively. This move is seen as a final decision by KTM to not to absorb the higher GST costs any longer and pass it directly to the buyers. In Sep 2025, GST 2.0 came into effect with 40 percent of tax on bikes with engine capacity above 350cc, up from the earlier 28 percent. However, at that time, KTM absorbed the higher GST and refrained from hiking the price of its 390 portfolio.

KTM 390 Duke Price Hike

The 390 Duke will now be available at a sticker price of Rs 3.39 lakh as compared to the earlier price of Rs 2.99 lakh. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom. With the new pricing, It now has a difference of around Rs 1.22 lakh with the 250 Duke. KTM had absorbed the burden of higher GST for nearly 6 months before eventually passing it to the buyers directly.

KTM 390 Duke is in direct competition with TVS Apache RTR 310, Aprilia Tuono 457 and Yamaha MT-03. While all the rival brands increased the prices of their motorcycles soon after the roll out of GST 2.0, KTM was the only brand which absorbed the hike and did not pass it to the buyers. With the upward revision in price, it is quite certain that the 390 Duke will cost in excess of Rs 4 lakh (on-road price) in most parts of the country.

We earlier told you that KTM in collaboration with Bajaj is planning to roll out the 350cc versions of the 390 line-up, which has multiple Adventure and Duke models. It is learnt that the 350 models will be sold alongside the 390 motorcycles. Bajaj recently did the same thing with Triumph’s 400cc portfolio as the bikes were introduced with a downsized 350cc engine to enjoy the lower GST benefits.

KTM 390 Adventure X Price Hike

KTM 390 Adventure X price has been increased to Rs 3.43 lakh from Rs 3.26 lakh in the Indian market. In the past few months, the price of the ADV bike has been hiked by nearly Rs 40,000. It was initially launched at a price point of Rs 2.91 lakh without premium features like ride modes, cruise control and inertial measurement unit (IMU). However, responding to customer feedback, Bajaj quickly added these features in the 390 Adventure X and increased the price to Rs 3.03 lakh.

The price was once again increased to Rs 3.26 lakh after the implementation of GST 2.0 in Sep 2025. Now, with the latest hike in price, it has become as expensive as its closest rival, which happens to be the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in price range of Rs 3.06-3.37 lakh. However, the 350cc version of the Adventure X is likely to be quite affordable with prices below the Rs 3 lakh threshold. All the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom.
