Exterior – Volkswagen Taigun 2026

Only a few days before its formal launch on April 9, 2026, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has started the production of the Taigun facelift at its Pune (Chakan) facility. The Pune factory, built as part of the brand’s highly localised “Make in India” strategy, serves both domestic and international markets. This facility has produced more than 1.43 lakh units since 2021, of which around 30% have been sent to international markets.

Up front, the revised front bumper is visible, along with new LED headlight and taillight units, which carry a connected LED light bar running across with an illuminated VW logo, a treatment borrowed directly from the larger Tiguan and Tayron. The front bumper gets tweaked with new blacked-out inserts on either side. You can also spot the new alloy wheel designs from the side profile.
