Triumph Tracker 400 Launch Price Rs 2.46 Lakh in India

Despite the 400 badging, the Tracker 400 has been powered by the new TR-Series 350cc engine with top power of 39.5 bhp at 8750 rpm

Triumph India has launched the new Tracker 400 at a sticker price of Rs 2.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. Though it doesn’t carry the 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, but the new TR-Series 350cc engine with power output of 39.5 bhp at 8750 rpm. Triumph Tracker had its world premiere last year in December in the UK. Inspired by flat track racing, it is the sixth model in the 400 portfolio of Triumph after the Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC, Thruxton 400 and Speed T4.

The Tracker 400 gets flat and wide handlebars and repositioned footpegs, which are supported by a dedicated chassis for sharper handling. Some of the notable design elements include colour-coded seat cowl, number board, tracker-style boxy fuel tank, sculpted knee cut-outs, fly screen and newly styled dual-spoke wheels fitted with MRF REVZ FD1 tyres. The number ‘400’ on the side body panels is a rich homage to the legendary flat track racers.

Building on this momentum, the Tracker 400 introduces greater choice. With its stripped-back flat track attitude, it delivers more fun, more style, and a distinctly sportier ride.”

It has been offered in three colour schemes namely Racing Yellow, Phantom Black and Aluminium Silver Gloss. Flaunting a flat track silhouette, the Tracker 400 boasts of classic Triumph design cues with race-inspired styling. The bike also comes with iconic engine profile with powder-coated covers and bright-machined cylinder head fins. The ‘Tracker’ lettering is visible on the fuel tank with sleek racing stripes and mud-splatter detailing.

The suspension duties are performed by black anodised 43 mm USD front forks and rear gas monoshock RSU with preload adjustment. Both the front and rear units come with 140mm of distance travel. The Tracker 400 has a decent saddle height of 805 mm. It is rolled out with multiple premium features in the form of torque-assist clutch, switchable traction control, single-dial analogue speedometer with digital tachometer, and ABS.

The global-spec model, not launched in India, is powered by the 398cc single-cylinder TR series petrol engine, which generates top power of 41.4 bhp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 37.5 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. However, the India-spec model get the new downsized 350cc engine to enjoy the lower GST benefits on two-wheelers with engine capacity below 350cc.
