The engine specs of the Speed 350, Speed T350, Scrambler 350 X/XC and Thruxton 350 have been leaked ahead of the official launch in India
Triumph India is all set to launch the 350cc bikes tomorrow in the Indian market. The existing models of the Speed 400, Thruxton 400, Speed T4 and Scrambler 400 X/XC will be rolled out with a 350cc engine which will replace the 398cc unit. Apart from the downsized engine, the bikes will remain unchanged in terms of appearance. The engine specs of Triumph 350 range have been leaked ahead of the official debut. Besides the power and torque outputs, the 0-100 kmph sprint time and top speed numbers have also been revealed.
Triumph Speed 400 vs Triumph Speed 350: Engine Specs
Starting with the Speed 350, it will have max power of 36.5 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 32 Nm at 7000 rpm as compared to the official figures of the Speed 400, which stand at 39.5 bhp at 8000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. We can see that the power and torque have gone down by 3 bhp and 5.5 Nm, respectively. It certainly doesn’t look much on paper, but will it affect the bike’s overall performance in real world conditions, it needs to be checked.

While the Triumph Speed 400 took nearly 7.4 secs for a 0-100 kmph sprint, the Speed 350 will take around 8.1 secs for the same. However, the top speed and 0-60 kmph acceleration time, more or less, remains the same for both the motorcycles.

Triumph Speed T4 vs Triumph Speed T350: Engine Specs
The Speed T4 is the brand’s entry-level and most affordable model in the 400 line-up. While the bike had power output and torque delivery of 30.6 bhp and 36 Nm, respectively, with the original 398cc single-cylinder engine, the newly-developed 350cc engine would churn out 28.6 bhp and 31 Nm. Hence, as we can notice, the power and torque has been lowered by 2 bhp and 5 Nm.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X/XC vs Triumph Scrambler 350 X/XC: Engine Specs
The Scrambler models will have the same power and torque figures as the Speed 350 at 36.5 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 32 Nm at 7000 rpm, respectively. However, the 0-100 kmph sprint time has increased from 7.4 secs of the 400cc engine to 8.8 secs with the 350cc engine. The top speed of the Scrambler 350 X/XC has come down to 144 kmph from 146.5 kmph of the 400 model.

Triumph Thruxton 400 vs Triumph Thruxton 350: Engine Specs
Triumph Thruxton 400, the most expensive and powerful bike in the 400 line-up, is a cafe-racer model with top power of 41.4 bhp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 37.5 Nm at 7500 rpm. On the other hand, the Thruxton 350 will have the highest power and torque of 39.5 bhp at 8750 rpm and 32 Nm at 7500 rpm, respectively. As we can see, the power and torque figures have witnessed a downward revision of around 1.9 bhp and 5.5 Nm, respectively.
