The reel is going viral, the SUV that can carry almost 40 suitcases?! Yes. That’s not a glitch. Built on a massive 3,060mm wheelbase, the IM LS8 isn’t just another EV. The “Lizard” chassis, which is the brain and muscle of the car. It integrates the car’s Electronic Stability Control, air suspension and four-wheel steering into a single unified system that can adjust in just 10 milliseconds. The car has a completely flat floor, making it airy and offering more than adequate space. While the “seats-up” capacity is for about six 28-inch suitcases, folding the rear seats transforms the cabin into a cargo van. The LS8 is an EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle). It’s like a giant powerbank on wheels! It uses a petrol engine purely as a generator to charge the batteries. 

The 1.5-Litre turbocharged petrol generator doesn’t drive the wheels but helps keep the battery topped up on the go. Dual motor setup pushing 523 bhp and a massive 670 Nm of Torque. That means 0-100 km/h in under 4 seconds. In such a big car, that’s an impressive number! With a full tank and a full charge, the IM LS8 delivers a combined range of 1,605 km. A 5.08-meter-long car, but it gets 24-degree turning rear wheels that give it a turning radius of just 4.85 meters, tighter than many compact SUVs and hatchbacks. 

It gets closed-type air suspension that automatically adjusts based on speed and road conditions. 

Step inside, and it feels like a tech lounge! There is a massive 27.1-inch 5K panoramic display for the driver and a 15.6-inch 3K screen for passengers. A massive panoramic sunroof is given with advanced thermal insulation tech that blocks UV rays and infrared heat. The rear seats recline up to 132 degrees and come with spa-style massage functions. It even features underfloor heating with graphene that can warm the floor from 0 ° to 40 ° in 20 minutes. Beyond its massive storage and clever chassis, the IM LS8 is packed with flagship-grade tech, featuring a 520-line ultra-vision LiDAR which delivers computing power for full-scenario autonomous driving. For the ultimate family experience, it includes a 12.3-litre smart in-car fridge, a 25-speaker B&O 7.1.4 surround-sound system, and a “Steer-by-Wire” system. Safety is equally high-tech, with an Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system that can bring the car to a full stop from 100 km/h even in pitch-black, snowy conditions.

The IM LS8 is a masterclass in packaging. It delivers the space of a warehouse, the luxury of a private jet, and the range like no other, all while being easy to manoeuvre.

If this SUV ever comes to India at a competitive price point, it could disrupt the premium SUV segment. In China, pricing reportedly starts at around ₹30 lakh (converted), which makes it even more interesting!
