MG has confirmed plans to introduce PHEVs in India, and this SUV could be the first. The model is expected to arrive on Indian shores around late 2026. Once launched, the SUV would compete with models like XUV 7XO and Tata Safari. The EV version would compete against the Mahindra XEV 9S.

With its larger dimensions, three-row layout, and electrified powertrains, MG’s SUV could bring a fresh approach to the midsize SUV segment. If priced competitively, this XUV 7XO rival could become an interesting option for buyers looking for a spacious family SUV with PHEV or EV tech.
