1. Volkswagen Taigun Facelift – Upcoming SUVs In April


The first major update for the Taigun since its 2021 launch is due soon. And VW has now confirmed that it will launch the facelifted Taigun on April 9th. Drawing design cues from the global Tayron R-Line, the facelift features a sharper front bumper with horizontal chrome accents and a redesigned rear LED light bar.
Inside, the SUV will likely gain a panoramic sunroof, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and a 360-degree camera. A notable addition for passenger comfort includes a massaging function for the rear seats. Mechanically, the 1.0-litre TSI engine is expected to ditch the 6-speed torque converter in favour of a smoother 8-speed automatic gearbox.

2. Skoda Kodiaq RS


Skoda has confirmed the arrival of the Kodiaq RS, a performance flagship SUV, in quarter 2 of 2026. So, we could expect to see the Kodiaq RS in April. It will likely be a limited-run launch with about 100 units to be sold, much like the Octavia RS. This version is designed for enthusiasts and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.
Visual updates include 20-inch RS-specific alloy wheels, ‘vRS’ badging, and a blacked-out cabin featuring Alcantara sports seats. It will come standard with AWD and a 7-speed DSG transmission to handle the increased power output. Features include DCC+ adaptive suspension, matrix headlights and level 2 ADAS with the safety of 9 airbags

3. Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella – Upcoming SUVs In April


The Ebella will be Toyota’s version of the Maruti e-Vitara, marking its entry into the mass-market EV segment. While the e Vitara has already been launched at a mouth-watering price tag, Toyota is yet to announce the prices for the Urban Cruiser eBella. We can expect Toyota to officially launch this electric SUV next month. The SUV features a unique “Hammerhead” front design and a tech-heavy cabin.
Key features include a 9-speaker JBL audio system and a Level 2 ADAS suite. Toyota will offer two battery options, with the larger pack claiming a range of over 540 km.
- Battery/Range: 49 kWh (440 km) / 61 kWh (543 km)
- Estimated Price: Rs 19 Lakhs to 23 Lakhs (on-road, Mumbai)

4. Nissan Tekton


The Tekton is inspired by the larger Nissan Patrol and serves as the brand’s primary contender in the mid-size SUV space. The interior will feature “Himalaya-inspired” trim accents, a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen, and a panoramic sunroof.
While it will initially launch with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.8-litre strong hybrid variant is expected to join the lineup later.
- Engine: 1.0-litre turbo Petrol with 99 bhp, 1.3-litre turbo petrol with 161 bhp, and a 1.8L strong hybrid.
- Estimated Price: Rs 13 Lakh to Rs 22 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

5. MG Majestor – Upcoming SUVs In April


MG Motor India has already commenced bookings for the Majestor at Rs 41,000, with deliveries slated for May. That said, we can expect MG to officially launch the Majestor and reveal the prices in April 2026. Positioned as a direct rival to the Toyota Fortuner, it is expected to be the most powerful SUV in its segment.
The Majestor comes equipped with a 12.3-inch digital display, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, and Level 2 ADAS featuring automatic emergency braking and cruise control.
- Engine: 2.0-litre Twin-Turbo Diesel (212 bhp & 478 Nm)
- Estimated Price: Rs 48 Lakh to Rs 54.50 Lakhs (on-road, Mumbai)
