Flat Rs 10 Lakh Off!

Over the years, the Fortuner has accumulated several rivals. And one such rival never got the same love as the Japanese SUV. So, to boost its sales, the automaker is offering big discounts. We are talking about none other than the Tiguan R-line. It has received big discounts of up to Rs 4-5 lakh, but this time around, the discount is much more substantial.

“On-road price = ex-showroom price” is a discount that Volkswagen are offering on the Tiguan R-line. This means that Volkswagen would offer a cash discount of up to Rs 10 lakh, eliminating the costs of registration. The ex-showroom price of the Tiguan is 45.73 lakh, and the on-road price (Mumbai) is Rs 58.51 lakh. The on-road price also includes insurance, which you would obviously have to pay for yourself. All in all, it means that with this discount, you can get a fully-loaded Tiguan R-line for around Rs 45-47 lakh, which is similar to a base-spec 4×2 Fortuner.

Fortuner Rival Discount – Features & Specifications

The Tiguan R-Line is a 5-seater SUV, and misses out on some of the Fortuner’s practicality. But you are compensated for it by its decent feature list. This list includes –
- Panoramic sunroof
- Paddle shifters
- Wireless chargers
- 15-inch infotainment screen
- 10.25-inch digital driver’s display
- Heads-up display
- Level-2 ADAS
- 9-airbags
- Reverse parking camera
It is offered with a 2.0-litre TSI (202 bhp & 320 Nm), mated to a 7-speed DSG and Volkswagen’s 4Motion (AWD) drivetrain. If driving dynamics are your priority, the Tiguan is worth every penny. It may be a tad expensive since it is a CBU, but with these discounts, it is a deal worth considering.
