Tata has gained popularity amongst the Indian audience, thanks to its best-in-class safety and features. However, one of Nexon’s rivals has just been tested in BNCAP and has managed to beat the Nexon in its own game. Curious to know more? Here are all the details of this SUV!
Hyundai Venue Beats Tata Nexon In Safety!

That’s right! Hyundai, with its new Venue, has just shocked everyone. With the new update, the Venue has managed to score a 5-star safety rating in BNCAP. But that’s not it! It has also become the safest SUV in its segment. Tata Nexon had scored an Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) rating of 29.41 out of 32 and a Child Occupant Protection (COP) rating of 43.83 out of 49. And now, Venue has nailed it with an AOP of 31.15 out of 32 and a COP of 44.46 out of 49. This is courtesy of all the upgrades that Hyundai integrated into the new Venue. Before the massive update, the older Venue was based on the K2 platform.

However, Hyundai decided to underpin the new Venue with the K1 platform, which is shared with Kia Syros, another 5-star safety-rated SUV. The Korean brand went further and improved the build of the new-gen Venue by using 71% high tensile-strength steel, improving the structural rigidity and integrity of the SUV. Adding to the safety net are features like Level 2 ADAS, an electronic parking brake and much more. All of these changes have allowed Hyundai to make the Venue the safest SUV in its segment. Apart from safety, the new-gen Venue has a lot to offer!
What Else?

With the new-gen, Hyundai has gone all-in with the Venue. The Venue now gets a slew of features like a twin 12.3-inch screen setup, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, 2-step reclining rear seats and much more. Hyundai offers 3 powertrain options with the new Venue: a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (118bhp & 172Nm), a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (82bhp & 115Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (114bhp & 250Nm). Now, with the safety ratings out, the Venue seems to be one of the best picks in its segment, offering comfort, safety, features and performance. Priced between Rs 9.67 lakh and Rs 19.56 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), it seems to be quite the value-for-money proposition you need.
