We came across a Maruti Suzuki dealer from Maharashtra stating that there will be an increase in the tax on CNG vehicles post 1 April 2026. Well, when we dug deeper into this matter, we discovered that last year, the Maharashtra government passed a bill imposing a 1% tax increase on CNG vehicles. Earlier, the tax on private CNG vehicles was 7%, but it will now increase to 8%. This might not be a massive hike, but definitely significant. Which cars would be affected by this increment?
