Maruti Suzuki CNG Price Hiked! 

We came across a Maruti Suzuki dealer from Maharashtra stating that there will be an increase in the tax on CNG vehicles post 1 April 2026. Well, when we dug deeper into this matter, we discovered that last year, the Maharashtra government passed a bill imposing a 1% tax increase on CNG vehicles. Earlier, the tax on private CNG vehicles was 7%, but it will now increase to 8%. This might not be a massive hike, but definitely significant. Which cars would be affected by this increment? 

These CNG Cars Will Get Price Hike- 

Even though the poster only showcases Swift and Victoris, other Maruti CNGs, including Baleno, Ertiga, Brezza and Wagon R, will also get this price hike. Well, what if you are not planning for a Maruti? This increment will be applicable across the state. That said, the 1% tax increment on the CNG will also apply to the Tatas and Hyundai as well.
