Renault Duster Launched!
Renault unveiled the Duster in January this year, and details such as the powertrain options and the equipment list were also revealed. But the pricing and variants remained a mystery until now. Renault has launched the Duster at a price of Rs 12.27 lakh with the top variant costing Rs 21.64 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).


It is currently offered with 2 engine options: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (99 bhp & 160 Nm) and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (161 bhp & 280 Nm). The gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT (on 1.3-litre petrol only). Moreover, we would also see a 1.8-litre hybrid-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed DHT gearbox by Diwali this year. That said, let’s take a look at all the variants on offer –

Renault Duster Variants Explained – Authentic


This is the Duster’s base variant, and it is offered with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 6-speed manual as standard. Some of the features that you get with this trim are –

Evolution


The EVolution trim is one step above the base trim and is the cheapest variant to get the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol DCT option. Despite being the lower trim, you get quite a few features like (over Authentic) –

The 1.0-litre trim is priced at Rs 13.68 lakh, while the 1.3-litre is priced between Rs 15.2 lakh and Rs 16.95 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Renault Duster Variants Explained – Techno


The Techno trim is offered with 1.0-litre manual, 1.3-litre DCT, and 1.3-litre manual powertrain options. With the Techno variant, you get (over Techno)-

- Wood elements across the dashboard
- Cooled storage (DCT only)
- Panoramic sunroof
- Powered tailgate
- Automatic dual zone climate control

- Auto fold ORVM

The manual variants are priced between Rs 15.78 lakh and Rs 16.95 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), while the DCT option costs Rs 18.59 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Techno+ variant is offered with the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine as standard and gets both gearbox options. Some features that it gets over the Techno are –

The manual variant costs Rs 17.89 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and the automatic trim is priced at Rs 19.52 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

This is the top-end trim and is offered with the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol as standard. With this trim, you can opt for either the manual or DCT option. It gets all the bells and whistles possible, including (over Techno+)-
