The first-ever Ducati motocross bike will only be available in four cities in India namely New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune
Ducati India has launched the Desmo450 MX at an introductory price of Rs 17.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the country. The first-ever motocross bike from the Italian brand will be available only at 4 select Indian dealerships in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune from the end of March 2026. Ducati Desmo450 MX bookings have officially begun in the Indian market. It can be further customized by opting for a a wide range of accessories which also include Factory components and apparel collection.
Ducati Desmo450 MX is the only motorcycle in its segment to be offered with Desmodromic distribution and traction control for defining actual rear wheel slippage. The traction control system precisely measures rear wheel slip and activates only when needed in order to avoid unnecessary interference with the performance. The off-roading bike is based on a lightweight aluminum frame with minimal welds.
Some of the factory components available as accessories are machined wheel hubs and triple clamps, a complete Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, and Brembo Racing brake calipers. The apparel collection, created with Drudi Performance and featuring Alpinestars, is also available for the buyers so that the factory look is completed.

Ducati Desmo450 MX is powered by a 449.6 cc Ducati single-cylinder engine which generates max power of 63 bhp at 9400 rpm and peak torque of 53.5 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension duties are helmed by a full adjustable Showa-sourced front forks and a monoshock rear unit with progressive link setup. While the front suspension travel is 310 mm, the rear unit travels by up to 301 mm.
Riding on 21-inch front and 19-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, Ducati Desmo450 MX is presented with Pirelli Scorpion MX32 off-road tyres. The stopping power comes from 260 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes. It tips the weighing scale at just 104.8 kg (without fuel). Some of the notable features onboard the dirt bike are launch control, engine brake control and multiple riding modes.
