New Renault SUV Confirmed!
A few weeks ago, we reported that Renault is working on a new 4X4 compact-SUV for Renault. Its concept is set to be revealed tomorrow, and some key details about the SUV have been shared ahead of the unveiling. And some of these details may shock you.

According to industry sources, Renault plans to launch the production-spec version of the Bridger Concept by Diwali of 2027 (October-November). It will target other compact SUVs like the Thar, Venue, Sonet, and Nexon. Moreover, Renault is very confident about this project, as it aims to boost its current sub-4m sales by up to 80,000 to 90,000 units. The French automaker has big plans to execute such a feat, as the Bridger is set to be offered with these exciting powertrains.

Mini-Duster – 5 Powertrain Options!

The Bridger is expected to have the most diverse powertrain options. These options include a –
- 1.2-lite NA Petrol
- CNG
- Hybrid
- EV (35kWh & 55kWh packs)
- Turbo-Petrol
No other car in this or even higher segments gets such a diverse range of powertrain options. And thanks to the CNG and the Hybrid powertrain, the Bridger could be one of the most fuel-efficient SUV in the market.
Renault wishes to offer the widest range of powertrains across the Rs 10-22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) price point. And given how Renault has marketed the Bridger as a serious off-roader, with its tailgate-mounted spare wheel, chunky roof rails, and rugged stance, we could also see a 4WD option.

The Bridger will get the majority of its features from the Duster and Kiger spare bins. These features would be an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, an ADAS suite, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a fully-digital driver’s display, wireless charging, etc.
Renault aims to make a strong comeback in the Indian automobile industry with the Duster, along with the Bridger and the Bigster (7-seater version of the Duster). From the looks of it, Renault’s ambition seems exciting, but only time will tell whether Renault can stand up to such expectations.
