TVS has officially unveiled the RTX 300, the Indian Bike Of The Year 2026, in Europe in a new striking colour scheme. This shows that the brand wants to expand its fanbase in other international markets too. However, TVS has been facing quite the backlash in India, specifically towards its first ADV. So what exactly is going on? Let’s discuss –

TVS RTX Deliveries Delayed!

The TVS RTX was one of the most impressive bikes when it launched, and the brand nailed the pricing. Under Rs 2.8 lakh, you get an endless list of features, an amazing ride and handling, decent performance and an immaculate suspension setup. Additionally, TVS has offered many first and best-in-class features that no other bike has at such an accessible price point. And even though this is such a sweet deal, the Indian buyers have been left disappointed. Even though the ADV was launched in October 2025, there are many buyers who have yet to receive their bike.
And now, TVS has also revised the waiting period of the RTX 300 to 4 months. Adding to the concern is that TVS has not revealed why most buyers have not received the bike. If TVS could be more open and transparent about why the deliveries are taking this long, buyers may even trust the brand with some more patience. However, the brand tried to keep the justification hidden. The unfortunate part is that the RTX is a really great value-for-money proposition, but the waiting period and delayed deliveries may soon affect the patient buyers. Eventually, buyers might opt out of their bookings due to frustration.

Threat From Competitors!

Moreover, other ADV-style bikes like the Triumph Scrambler 400X have gained great popularity, but are priced much more. However, Bajaj recently announced the arrival of downsized versions of its 400cc bikes, including the Scrambler 400X. The Triumph Scrambler 350X will take advantage of the GST 2.0 and will have an aggressive price tag, too. This move from Bajaj, along with TVS’ delivery issues, may compel buyers to look out for the Triumph. Meanwhile, TVS is showcasing the bike in international markets like Europe, trying to stand out. This might just tick off some waiting customers. TVS should try to deliver the RTX soon, or it might just lose its charm.

Is The RTX Worth The Wait?

Having ridden the TVS RTX briefly, it is safe to say that it is one of the best ADVs out there, and the aggressive pricing is the cherry on top. It is poised, nimble, agile and glides over bad city roads like a charm, and the endless list of features is unlike any other bike in its class. Features include cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, a 5-inch TFT, map mirroring, adjustable levers, and the list goes on. At the heart of the matter is a 299cc engine producing 35.5bhp and 28.5Nm of torque along with a smooth 6-speed gearbox. Priced between Rs 2.34 lakh and Rs 2.74 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the RTX is one of the best, if not the best, bang-for-buck options. If only TVS could deliver these bikes sooner, it might just become the best-selling ADV!
